חברת הבינה המלאכותית Anthropic חשפה כי כוחות ביטחון ויחידות חצי-צבאיות של המשטר האיראני עשו שימוש במודל השפה Claude לצורך מעקב דיגיטלי נרחב אחר מתנגדי משטר. השימוש בטכנולוגיה נועד לזהות ולאתר חשבונות השייכים לאנשי אופוזיציה באיראן ובקרב קהילות התפוצה האיראנית בחו"ל.
